FAMILY NEWS

The Sick: Roger Hawley, Son-in-law of Curtis and Jane, is home and recuperating after heart surgery. The Son-in-law of Don Nash, Rex Wynn has been diagnosed with a rare form of MS. At this time he is in room 6006 of Vanderbilt Hospital. They are trying to get him stable enough to transfer him to Vanderbilt Stallworth for rehab. Bobby Rainey will be entering the hospital again Sept. 8^th to undergo treatment for his condition. Mary Sue Myracle was unable to attend services Sunday morning. Joe Treece, brother of Betty Bell, is still undergoing treatment in Centennial Hospital in Nashville. He is in serious condition. Continue to remember the following in your prayers: Allie Mae Alexander, Ola Mae Beller, Nina Conger, Patsy Evans, Christine McCormick, Paul Parrish (Larry’s brother), Jo Park, Steve Pettigrew, Willodean Sales, Elsie Shepherd, Marshall Tolley, Virginia Townsend, Tommy Vernon, Lee Volner, Boonie White, Emma White.

The Evangelism Committee will meet immediately after service tonight, Wednesday.

The elders will meet Sunday afternoon at 4:30.

Sunday night immediately after worship we will have our monthly fellowship meal. Nan Lindsey and Mary Van Eaton will have kitchen duty.

Kids and Teachers are excited to have a day off from school Monday the 6^th for Labor Day.

The Area Wide Gospel Meeting will be September 12-15! The speaker this year will be Gary McDade of the Gospel Broadcasting Network. Please be sure to invite you friends! Singing will begin at 7:00 and Preaching at 7:30.

Be sure and sign up to help with the water giveaway that will be taking place during the Peavine Festival. The Promotion Committee needs help with this. There is a sign-up sheet on the back table. We will be giving out free water on Saturday, September 18^th in front of the church building. We will start at 12:00 noon.

Please have your Magi Box in by Sunday night, September 19^th. The sooner the better. Each box has to be gone through to make sure items are appropriate and are packaged correctly. The money has to be taken out so we are sure we have the right amount for the number of boxes that we have. This is put in an envelope with the church name on it. If they are not wrapped correctly they must be redone. Please get them in early…..Thanks
